Bulletin for Container Theft Victims

On May 30, 2009 Saturday, our container shipment, one x 45' with container number NYKU4538082 was picked up by Gaucho's Trucking Company from our office located at 4249 Eagle Rock Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90065 for delivery to Port of Long Beach, CA for shipment to our Philippine Office located at 1200 Collector's Rd, North Harbor, Manila, Philippines and ultimately to all the consignees all over the Philippines.

On the afternoon of June 1before the end of office hours, Monday, we were informed by the Gaucho's Trucking that they cannot locate our container. Upon check with NYK Shipping Lines website, it showed that the container was not boarded on the vessel OOCL Tokyo 16W. We called Gaucho's Trucking and were informed that the said container was stolen.

A Police Report and Report of Stolen Container were given to us by Gaucho's trucking on June 4, 2009 (Please see attachments).

Also in the afternoon of June 4, 2009, the trucking company informed us that the tractor and the container was found abandoned by Long Beach Police Department along Alameda and 90th Street in Long Beach, CA in the night of June 3, 2009. The tractor and the container were towed at B and H Tow located in Inglewood, CA. I immediately called the tow company but they are already closed for the day.

The next morning, June 5, our representative, Mr Manny Paez proceeded to the Tow Company in Inglewood, CA and saw the tractor and the container that is missing more than half of its contents. (Pictures)

The container was returned by Gaucho's trucking to our warehouse for inventory in the afternoon of June 5. The next day, an inventory was made.on the recovered balikbayan boxes and jumbo boxes.

Some clients who sent multiple boxes have some that was recovered with some lost. Some are all recovered. Individual letter of notification has been sent. Insurance payments will be mailed as soon as the insurance claim is finished.

All those recovered are now delivered.

Sep 21, 2009. The insurance claim is now being settled.
