Automobile Shipment
Manila
Forwarders handles shipment
of vehicles to the Philippines. Automobile shipping falls
under a different category and rates in ocean cargo. It also
involves a different reporting system to international and
Philippine Governments.
BASIC REQUIREMENT FOR USED VEHICLE
IMPORTATION::
Importer
{+] Has resided in the US for at least one ( 1 ) year (accumulated
within 3 year period of
his/her stay abroad up to the date of filling of the application).
[+] Immigrant holding 13G
or 13A only
[+] Former Filipino now holding US passport may apply for
13G. or Dual
Citizenship
Motor Vehicle
[+] Left Hand Drive
[+] Not to exceed 3,000 Kgs GVW
[+] Registered under the name of the qualified importer for
at least six ( 6 ) months prior to
the submission of the application to the Bureau of Import
Services.
[+] Certificate of Emission Compliance ( CEC ) from country
of origin duly authenticated by
the Philippine Embassy / Consulate abroad. ( Under CAA RA
8749 ).

- Philippine Passport Holders
a) Completely filled out and Notarized Bureau of Import Services
Application Form. Get

b) Notarized Affidavit of Undertaking. Get

c) 1 copy of 2X2 picture with signature
d) Original or authenticated copy of complete pages of old
and new passport
e) Original or authenticated copy of Car Title or Registration
f) Processing Fee of One Thousand Five Hundred Pesos ( PHP
1,500 ) for cars and
Nine Hundred Pesos ( PHP 900 ) for motorcycle.
- Foreign Passport Holders [ 13G/13A/ Dual Citizen]
a) Completely filled out and Notarized Bureau of Import Services
Application Form.

d) Original or authenticated copy of passport stamped with
valid 13G or 13A or
Oath of Allegiance, as the case maybe.
e) Original or authenticated copy of Car Title or Registration
f) Processing Fee of One Thousand Five Hundred Pesos ( PHP
1,500 ) for cars and
Nine Hundred Pesos ( PHP 900 ) for motorcycle.
g) Alien Certificate of Registration ( ACR ) and Immigrant
Certificate of Residence ( ICR ) to be complied and presented
upon arrival of the applicant in the Philippines.
NOTE
- US Customs Clearance is required prior to loading to container

- Importation of motor vehicles are subject to payment ofPhilippine
taxes and duties
- Personal appearance of applicant at the BIS is required
prior to the release of the motor vehicle
from the Philippine Bureau of Customs.
- Secure Local Emission Certificate prior to Philippine Land
Transportation Office ( LTO ) registration
under CMO No. 34-2001 in accordance with Section 2, Rule XXXII
of the Clean Air Act ( RA 8749 ).
- An individual can avail of the program only once ( paragraph
5.1.1 )
- Only one vehicle shall be allowed per family ( composed
of husband, wife and unemancipated minor.
- There shall be no resale of the motor vehicle for three
years ( EO 156, Sec 3, para 3.1.1 )

Clearance
Due to taxes involved in automobile shipments
and availability of Philippine assembled vehicles, Manila
Forwarders encourages shipment of vehicles of not more than
five years old only. We also encourage to have the vehicle
pre-assessed prior to deciding on shipping it. We require
a copy the vehicle Certificate of Vehicle Title plus $50 processing
fee. Please mail the copy of title plus $50 check payable
to Manila Forwarders to:
